Ad extensions make your ad stand out from other ads on the Cốc Cốc Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs), increase your total number of clicks, lower your cost per click (CPC), and in many cases improve conversion rates. This guide will offer a detailed overview of ad extensions and how to use them to maximize the performance of ads on Quảng Cáo Cốc Cốc.

1. Overview of ad extensions

What is an ad extension?

An ad extension allows you to add more information about your products to your ad, such as business ratings, location information, links to specific parts of your website, and the like. Quảng Cáo Cốc Cốc provides you with two ad extensions types, namely sitelink and callout. Details about these will be discussed later.

Key features of ad extensions:

  • Available for text search ads only and shown on the top or the bottom of Cốc Cốc SERPs (not on the right side).
  • You’re free to add, edit, stop, or remove ad extensions as you want.
  • You don’t have to pay additional cost for each click. More on this later.
  • Each account/campaign/ad can have multiple sitelinks and callouts.
  • Each ad extension can be used for multiple campaigns and ads.
  • Both sitelinks and callouts can be shown along with each ad.
  • Sitelinks are currently selected to show randomly. There is no priority. In next versions, sitelinks will be ranked based on CTR. The higher CTR is, a sitelink is more likely to be shown with an ad.
  • Sitelinks have to go through the moderation process before being approved. To be updated later…

Quảng Cáo Cốc Cốc offers ad extensions at the account, campaign, and ad level. The ad level means ad extensions are added to an ad and applied to that ad only. The campaign level means ad extensions are added to a campaign and applied to all ads in that campaign. How ad extensions work

To optimize the performance of ad campaigns, Quảng Cáo Cốc Cốc picks up relevant ad extensions to show with an ad when a customer searches for a phrase on Cốc Cốc Search Engine. For that reason, ad extensions should be closely related to ad contents and advertising objectives.

By adding more content to an ad, extensions give the ad greater visibility and prominence on the search results page. That means you will get more value from your ad.

Why use ad extensions

As said earlier, ad extensions allows you to add extra information to your ad than the basic headline, URL, and ad copy you’re traditionally able to use. Therefore, they can make a decision and take action directly from search results. Besides, this feature also brings other practical benefits as explained below.

Increase click-through rate (CTR)

Apart from spending a lot of time writing impressive ad copy, using ad extensions is a good strategy to boost your CTR. When customers get more details about your advertised product, it’s more likely that they will click your ad and make conversions.

Control cost per click (CPC)

A common way that you may use to improve the number of clicks is to raise bids. This leads to an unexpected increase in the advertising cost, especially if your ad hasn’t a good position. Instead, you can think about working with ad extensions to get you more clicks. This way, your campaign will be more effective while the cost is still under your control.

Note: Using ad extensions doesn’t mean that your ad will get a good position on Cốc Cốc SERPs.

How ad extensions cost

There’s no cost to add ad extensions to your campaign. Clicks on ads will be charged as usual.

2. Types of ad extensions

This part will walk you through features and requirements for each ad extensions type.

Sitelinks

Sitelinks can take your customers to specific pages on your websites such as a promotion program, featured products, or more. These links are clickable, hence they can help improve your CTR effectively.

  • You can add up to 4 sitelinks to each campaign.
  • For each ad, a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 sitelinks will be shown together on the SERPs.

Types of sitelinks

There are two sitelink types, namely short sitelinks and full sitelinks:

  • Short sitelink: Only include the sitelink text and the final URL. At a specific point, short sitelinks can be shown with all ads, whether the ads are shown on the top or on the bottom of the Cốc Cốc SERPs.

  • Full sitelink: Include the sitelink text, two descriptions, and the final URL. At a specific point, a full sitelink is shown with ONLY an ad on the top of the Cốc Cốc SERPs. It doesn’t appear with ads on the bottom.

Where a full sitelink is shown depends on some factors. An ad shown at the first position on the top of the Cốc Cốc SERPs doesn’t guarantee that a full sitelink will be shown with that ad as well.

Record data for sitelinks

Quảng Cáo Cốc Cốc collects data on sitelinks, including the number of clicks and impressions. If an ad is shown without sitelinks, clicks and impressions are recorded as usual.

If the ad is shown with sitelinks, clicks and impressions are collected as described below:

  • Impressions: Record one impression for the ad AND one impression for each sitelink.
  • Clicks: When a customer clicks the ad, record one click for the ad and no click for sitelinks. If they click a sitelink, record one click for the ad and one click for that sitelink, but no click for other unclicked sitelinks.

Calculate statistics for sitelinks

For each sitelink shown, statistics are calculated like this:

  • Impressions: The number of times that the sitelink has been shown with the ad.
  • Clicks: The number of clicks that the sitelink received when it has been shown with the ad.
  • CTR: Clicks/Impressions.

Callouts

Callouts come in handy when you want to promote unique offers to your customers, like free shipping and home delivery. Basically, callouts are plain text and unclickable.

  • You can add up to 6 callouts to each campaign.
  • For each ad, a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 6 callouts can be shown together.

Record data for callouts

Quảng Cáo Cốc Cốc collects data on callouts, including number of clicks and impressions. If an ad is shown without callouts, clicks and impressions are recorded as usual.

If the ad is shown with callouts, clicks and impressions are collected as described below:

  • Impressions: Record one impression for the ad AND one impression for each callout.
  • Clicks: When a customer clicks the ad, record one click for the ad and one click for sitelinks.

Calculate statistics for callouts

For each callout shown, statistics are calculated like this:

  • Impressions: The number of times that the callout has been shown with the ad.
  • Clicks: The number of clicks that the callout received when it has been shown with the ad.
  • CTR: Clicks/Impressions.
